Hello. I am Sam.. my native is Dindigul. Recently.. I took one day trip to Kodaikanal and visited beautiful Kurinji Andavar Temple. This temple is one of the spiritual place in Kodaikanal.. Many people do not know about.
This Andavar Temple is located near Chettiar Park, Kodaikanal.. In a peaceful and scenic area. After passing through farm forest section.. You can reach temple in about 15 minutes. It’s a perfect place for those who love nature and spirituality.
During my visit.. I enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the breathtaking views around temple. This place is rare Kurinji flower.. which blooms once every 12 years. Making it a special place for visitors.

Kurinji Andavar Temple in Kodaikanal was built in 1936 by Leelavati Ramanathan. European woman who became a Hindu.. And married Tamil leader Ponnambala Ramanathan, later known as Lady Ramanathan.
Dedicated to Lord Murugan is known for rare kurinji flower which blooms every 12 years. Leelavati’s foster daughter, Devi Prasad Bhaskaran.
Later gave the temple’s care to the Palani Arulmigu Dandayuthapani Swamy Temple. keeping its religious and cultural importance alive.
